Why Colostrum

Colostrum is the first food produced after birth — not milk, but something denser that lasts a few hours and then disappears. It exists for one job: to build a working gut barrier and support the defenses that depend on it. That's the same wall that wears down in adults after years of processed food, stress, and medication — and everything concentrated in colostrum, from immunoglobulins to growth factors to lactoferrin, is there to support it.

Unlike most supplements, colostrum doesn't need to reach your bloodstream to do its job. It works in the gut itself. Its immunoglobulins bind unwanted particles before they reach the lining, its growth factors carry the signal that keeps that lining renewing, and its lactoferrin and oligosaccharides improve the conditions around it. Three levers on one wall — which is why colostrum may support gut barrier function, and with it, everyday digestive comfort and normal immune function.

What's actually in it

More than one active ingredient.

Colostrum isn't a single compound. It's a package, and the parts work as a set:

Immunoglobulins (mainly IgG) — antibodies. The largest active fraction, and the one most colostrum is measured by.

Lactoferrin — an iron-binding protein studied for its role in supporting the body's natural defenses.

Growth factors — the compounds that signal tissue to build and repair. In a newborn, they're what tell a brand-new gut lining to develop.

Proline-rich polypeptides (PRPs) — bioactive peptides studied for their role in modulating immune activity. Colostrum carries antimicrobial peptides alongside them.

Oligosaccharides — prebiotics. Your body can't digest them, which is exactly the point: they pass through intact and feed your beneficial bacteria instead of feeding you.

Take those apart and you have five interesting ingredients. Left together, you have the only food that evolved to establish a functioning gut barrier from nothing — which is the part that matters

Why VYRA

Colostrum is only as good as what survives the trip to your jar — and most of what makes it worth taking is fragile. Its active compounds are proteins, and heat denatures them, so VYRA is processed at low temperature to keep that fraction intact rather than cooked. It's kept whole and non-defatted, because the fat carries the compounds that would otherwise be stripped out to make production cheaper. Every batch is standardized to a minimum 30% IgG — the antibody fraction you're actually paying for — and that number is printed on the jar.

The gut barrier

Modern life asks more of your body than it was built for. Your gut is lined by a barrier one cell thick — a living wall that decides what passes into you and what doesn't.

A large share of your immune activity is stationed in the tissue around that lining, which makes it the first thing standing between the outside world and the rest of you

Yet processed food, stress, and medication wear that wall down over years. You never feel it happening. You only feel what comes after.

Start at the layer everything else depends on. VYRA is whole, cold-processed colostrum, standardized to a minimum 30% IgG — made to support the barrier your day is built on.
